The Castle runs a number of 'Living History' events during the year. Schools are invited to participate. Caligraphy, candle dipping and military training are popular with our younger customers.
Nature ,Geography Field Trips
There are a number of SSSI's associated with the castle from Moorland to un-managed natural woodland, with some of the finest wild flower meadows in Europe. Access is encouraged and guides can be arranged.

Prices for school visits: Castle £3.00 per pupil or student.
Guided walks £40.00 per half day regardless of numbers. Camp sites can be arranged on request.
